IMHOTEP: Remarkable women
I have been deeply saddened by the recent passing of two remarkable women. Albertina Sisulu, widow of South African anti-Apartheid hero, Walter Sisulu, passed away on June 2. She was interred beside the tomb of her late husband on June 11. Our own Lady of Songs, Christy Essien-Igbokwe, passed away on the 30th of last month. Both were remarkable women, impacting their generations in very profound ways.
Born on October 21, 1918, Nontsikelelo Albertina Thethiwe was known throughout her life as Ma Sisulu after she married the love of her life, Walter Sisulu. When the young Walter proposed marriage to her after a brief courtship, she told him she had given birth to four children at her parents' home. To her surprise, the young man was not dissuaded by the story which she had made up to discourage him. He had graciously asked if he could be allowed to play a part in bringing up the children as her husband.
It was a marriage made in heaven. But they were not only married to each other; they were married to the Movement. While her husband languished in Robben Island for 25 years, the lot fell on her to raise their five children. She was one of the founder-leaders of the United Democratic Front (UDF) and a fiery fighter in the trenches. A nurse and social worker, she brought a mother's instincts to everything she did and was much beloved throughout the ANC.
Remarkably, when she got married to Walter in 1944, Nelson Mandela was the best man. It was she and her husband that took on board the rustic royal prince from the Transkei and literally made him into a leader. Mandela himself confessed that there was no major decision he ever made in life that did not involve consultation with Walter Sisulu. This includes his harrowingly painful decision to divorce Winnie Madikizela and his decision to marry Graça Machel. Walter and Albertina were perhaps the only couple that Madiba would defer to in real life.
Indeed, one of the few occasions on which Mandela is known to have publicly succumbed to tears was at Sisulu's funeral in May 2003. "Xhamela is no more", he wept. "May he live forever; a part of me is gone....By ancestry, I was born to rule. Xhamela helped me understand that my real vocation was to be a servant of the people."
The passing of her husband was obviously a shattering blow. Too weak to speak at his funeral, their granddaughter had to read the eulogy on her behalf: "Walter, what do I do without you? It was for you I woke up in the morning, it was for you I lived...

How To Get Back The Man You Love | How To Get An Ex Back Fast
Man Are From Mars – Women Are From Venus – It’s So True!Let’s face it: love is not always an easy road to travel, especially if you happen to be in love with a man. Men are creatures who have their own agendas, can often seem insensitive and will most likely find a place to run to, whenever it comes time to discuss any relationship issues. You’ve probably heard of the term “Men are from Mars and women are from Venus”. Well, there happens to be a lot of truth in that phrase.
Man Think LinearYou see, men usually think in linear, confined terms whereas women think with circular reasoning. For example, a man might thinks “Things are going okay with us; all I need to do is keep using my space to think about how to improve things between her and me”, while his woman will be thinking “He’s so insensitive and does not want to talk about things with me! He keeps going to his garage space and I feel so neglected! I need to confront him and find out what’s going on”.
To Get Back The Man You Love In Two Weeks . You Have To Think Like A ManBoth are totally logical ways to think about how to improve a relationship, but you can probably see where they differ greatly: the man wants to sit and think things out carefully; the woman wants immediate answers and satisfaction of how things will be or go. If you really do want to get back the man you love in two weeks, you will need to think more like a man and less like a woman, for one thing!
What I really mean is that you will need to be extremely patient if you want to get ex back , especially during the first week of your breakup or separation. This is one fundamental step in how to get back the man back you love. Just do your thing; don’t worry about him. He is thinking. He has gone deeply into his cave, and there is no likely chance of him coming out anytime soon. You need to be okay with that, because if you contact him too early, you risk the chance of pushing him farther away from you; something you do not want to deal with.
The next thing you will need to do, besides wait things out, is really think about what you want from your relationship with him. Perhaps things got too comfortable or too routine. Do you need to find ways to add spice to your relationship? Or, perhaps you both argue all the time. This is a very popular thing among couples who have similar personalities or who have a great age gap between them. There are other reasons why, but if you and your man are prone to screaming or yelling at one another, you might consider how healthy that relationship really is for you both.
