Inventions could be discovered this summer
It is very interesting to watch the mind of a child work.
If you look closely you can see the intent on their face and the spark of imagination in their eye. You can see the biggest smile on their face when they figure it out.
That is the beauty of children; their minds never stop working. Whether they are trying to figure out how to get something that is just out of reach, put together a puzzle or solve a problem, children always seem the most determined to find the answer.
In some cases it leads to inventions, both simple and extraordinary.
Take the toy truck; it was invented by a six-year-old boy (go figure). Forty-eight years ago, Robert Patch rethought the standard model truck as an interactive toy that could be taken apart and rebuilt into several different models. His sketches, approved for patent June 4, 1963, became the template for the toy truck we know and love today.
An 11-year-old boy invented a favourite summer treat –the Popsicle. Frank Epperson stumbled into the history books in 1905 after he left his drink outside to freeze overnight with a stirring stick still in it.
While those might seem like obvious kid inventions, did you know a kid invented Braille? Louis Braille invented Braille; an alphabet using raised dots, at the age of 15. Prior to that, each letter was raised and to read, one had to feel out each letter. The books were heavy and took a long time to read. More recently, a 17-year-old invented a sign language translator that uses a glove with sensors on it that translates the movements into written and audible words,
But it should come as no surprise that a kid also invented the trampoline. It was 1930 and 16-year-old George Nissen, a member of his high school gymnastics and diving teams, was goofing off in his parents' garage when he decided to stretch canvas over a rectangular steel frame, using materials he found in a local junkyard. Seven years later when he was in business school at the University of Iowa, he and his gymnastics coach refined the invention with nylon.
So if you kids are bouncing off the walls this summer, let them read this and maybe they will be inspired to solve their own problem.

He was the boy who invented books for the blind. Coupvray Louis lived in France. He is blind. He was blinded to play with the punch of his father. The punch slipped right into the eyes of Louis and he was injured and infected. One day a new priest came to a church on the hill. The priest was named Father Jacques Palluy. Father Luis Palluy knew he was blind and sent Louis to a new school for blind children in Paris. He liked the school every day matters there.One, a captain named Charles Barbier came to school Luis. Captain Louis Barbier nightwriting teaches about. Nightwriting the main points raised by the sounds. Louis invented his own alphabet points and spread the news of the books. Homework The best I've ever read by a client I thought it was a good book. I like the way Maragret Davidson has established a number of things that Louis could not see when she was five. It contained a lot of detail. It made me think very differently about people who are blind. It was interesting because I never read a book about the first blind. Louis was very brave. This is an important book from a client, I chose this book because I wanted to know, Louis Braille. When he was 5, he lost his sight in an accident. When he was 12 years, has decided to develop a better system for the blind to read. It took him 3 years to come up with the scoring system. Allowed blind people to read as fast as sighted people were people who did not think would work and made it difficult for him, but he kept trying. I found this book because it showed how important it is to keep trying and how, even when bad things happen you can try to do better. This book is good for children in grade 5 or 6.
